Fire Prevention Resources For Your Fire Department

We Share Fire Prevention Materials and Expertise

Community Risk Reduction Resources for California

The California Fire Prevention Organization is a unique, non-profit public benefit organization that specializes in fire and life safety. We collaborate with a wide range of fire agencies throughout California. Perhaps we can help your department and community as well.

With decades of experience in the fire service, our leadership is made up of experienced senior fire officers, educators, and fire prevention specialists. Our uniformed, highly trained prevention officers are EMTs, paramedics, and/or firefighters.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a career or volunteer department — if you work with a rural agency or a big city department: as long as you’re based in the State of California, our programs have been designed with you in mind.

Free Fire Prevention Materials:

The California Fire Prevention Organization has developed a series of fire and life safety materials specific to the Golden Bear State. Every state has multiple disaster issues to be concerned with, and California is no different. The big threats we think of include earthquake and wildfire. National programs and safety materials are fine, but what about connecting with your local community? All of our materials will make your Department look “local” and ready to serve those who live in your district.

Some of the materials we make available include:

  • Family Escape Plans
  • Ready, Set, Go Brochures
  • Earthquake Survival Brochures
  • Smoke Alarm and Fire Safety Brochures
  • CO Detector Guides
  • Home Self – Inspection Guides
  • And much more…

Note:  All materials are branded for The California Fire Prevention Organization. We can customize our print materials to include your department’s logo, photos, etc. for a small fee – if you’re interested in that type of support, see our contact information below.

Event Support

Our organization develops public safety fairs and resilience events throughout the State of California. We can either join one of your activities, or we can develop one specific to your community. Some of the things we can offer include:

  • FREE CPR Training for the public
  • FREE Smoke Alarms for those who cannot afford them
  • FREE Stop the Bleed Classes for those who need them
  • Brochures, prizes, and other “Event” driven content

The California Fire Prevention Organization develops a wide range of award-winning, 4K and HD video content, much of it broadcast ready. We develop public service announcements, training content, and educational videos.

In addition to the materials and support noted above, our public safety prevention teams canvass neighborhoods, installing FREE smoke and CO alarms, we teach in schools, we develop training materials for firefighters (with a fee), and we work diligently to support the community.
